Review

Honestly I started reading this book because I’m participating in a quote bash over on instagram and the author of this book was listed there.

Lake and her family move to a small town outside of Detroit after her father dies, and on her first day there she meets Will, her new neighbor and obviously sparks fly. But things aren’t easy for them, they both have a lot of responsibilities and problems and situations that complicate the possible relationship that they could potentially have.

I have to admit that there were things in the plot that I didn’t see coming, and yes, at some point it felt like too much, like too much was happening to this characters and specially to Lake but I guess that that is the reason that made it so real to me, because we don’t always have a say in what happens to us and to our family.

This book evoked a lot of fellings in me and I think that I haven’t cried reading a book since The Fault in Our Stars, the poetry was amazing and real and raw and just awesome, I never knew that poetry could be so cool.
